I am going to hell and I know it!

The Pilgrims came through the massive "fast and furious" ocean on the way over to the Americas. When they arrived on the marshy beach fronts, they kissed the ground and thanked god for saving them. Once they got to land, one would think they woudl be happy. No, the Pilgrims worked very very hard and worshipped god everyday. Sometimes I think the Puritans didn't even value life at all, they were just waiting on the after life.

See in order to understand how they made it through these freezing cold winters with no food or blankets, one must know how they worshipped, first. The Puritans are hard on believers. They don't admire this life to highly because they think god is angry at them and he doesn't want to see them happy. So of course, they never laugh or really be HAPPY! at all. They just work all day, pray, and proceed to sleep. Witch in the end makes them waist their only life and will most likely never be able to relive it again.

Before we dive into this speech about Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, I would like to first speak about the speaker. Jonathan Edwards. Wow, Is this guy crazy or what. First, he is a saint and he is also a very wealthy man. Second, he is fascinated with fire and hell, and did i tell you he was very arrogant as well. So, having concluded all that information he seems kind of like a prick to me. Then, He has the ultimate task; He gets to decipher the bible into anything he wants it to say. Really, I think he is some crazy guy trying to scare people into what he wants them to do and believe.

Now we have discussed the speaker of are crazy sermon, let's see how it turns us. "They deserve to be cast into hell". Well, this has to be the nicest thing any one has ever told me. I thought religion was based on faith, love, hope, and peace. Trying to help people out, not trying to scare them into some kind of submission were you can control their very thoughts on life. "The devil stands ready to fall upon them, and seize them as his own." Well, That just makes me want to jump up and down to know that I am going to hell whether I like it or not, YES!
